DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - Fulltime

Position Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting CyberSec (e.g., Red-Teaming, Forensics, etc.) infrastructure and operations. The environment is mainly based on Debian/Centos and Windows Systems incl. VMware and some in-house developed applications. Ideally, you already have experience in Cyber-Security and Automation with Ansible and Saltstack. This is a client-facing position and you will be communicating regularly with the DIESEC team and client.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Application & infrastructure planning, testing and development
  • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Automation implementation
  • Incident response and incident management
  • Monitoring
  • Configuration and managing databases
  • Documentation maintenance
  • Manage all aspects of the infrastructure, including LAN, Local NAS, and virtual environments.
  • Harden and protect sensitive infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and secure high availability of services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of Linux (Debian/Centos)
  • Windows operating systems.
  • Able to work on the command line and ability to automate tasks using (shell) scripting languages.
  • Direct experience with the majority of:
    • Jenkins, Git, Gitlab, Gitlab CI
    • Continious integration, testing, delivery
    • Ansible, saltstack
    • Bash
    • Networking and Infrastructure fundamentals
    • Zabbix monitoring
    • vCenter fundamentals
    • strong Linux admin skills
    • app deployment and troubleshooting.
    • nginx, Django deployment, rabbitmq, celery, Redis admin side knowledge
    • ELK, centralized logging
    • Containerization, docker, docker-compose
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player attitude.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Able to work from home or at our client site 5-10% of the time at the client’s discretion.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience with Information Technology infrastructure, ideally within the Cyber Security area.
  • College or Technical degree in Information Technology or equivalent direct work experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include certifications in the technologies mentioned above.
